DC Sound Collective "Dirae Pax" released October 23rd!

A new album from DC Sound Collective "Dirae Pax" will be released Tuesday, October 23rd at iTunes/Apple Music/Amazon and at Bandcamp a few days earlier - both as a download and CD. Featuring 4 songs from the "Following the Noise" EP of 2016 (remixed and remastered) plus 6 new songs - 2 instrumentals and 4 vocal songs, all rock with the stalwart team of Crommie, Hardenbrook and Hazen with guest appearances from Colin Henson, Leslie Gray and Bo Parker. The mastering and album art was created by long time associate Jamie Haggerty. Limited edition CD release!

Daniel Crommie compilation "Phantoms from the Passed" released

A new CD compilation of Daniel Crommie's solo instrumental work covering the years 2006-2018  will be released Tuesday, September 18th at Band Camp and Amazon. The first CD Daniel has released since "The Last Thing I Remember" in 2006, "Phantoms from the Passed" will feature 14 tracks sampling a dozen albums with a total time of just over 79 minutes and will also be available for download only at Band Camp. This is a limited edition digipak with full color art on the package and disc.

Portland, Oregon's Multnomah County Library has started a streaming service featuring local and regional artists, which you can access with a membership to the library. Preview a new track from Daniel Crommie's upcoming album

This year promises a bumper crop of new releases from Daniel Crommie and DC Sound Collective with two new solo albums from Daniel Crommie and one from DC Sound Collective. On Tuesday, February 20th Daniel's "Storm Front", a new collection of instrumental electronic / flute-based material was released at iTunes, Amazon et al. On Wednesday, June 20th yet another album "Winter Roses" will be released which features electro-acoustic pieces recorded in November/December 2017, including a few wilderness improvs recorded during the previous summer in central Oregon. You can hear the lead-off track "King Nine" here. Both titles will be released a month early at Band Camp.

The latest DC Sound Collective album - an all-instrumental collection featuring Eldon Hardenbrook, Daniel Crommie (Saturnalia Trio, Group Du Jour, Echo System), Bruce Hazen (350's, Iain Matthews), Colin Henson (Jade Warrior), Jamie Haggerty (Echo System), Bo Parker (Group Du Jour), Leslie Gray (Saturnalia Trio), Michael Maldonado and Bruce Gelman. 5 new compositions, including a further installment of the "Apophis" theme are included. Progressive ambient jazz-rock. Available at Band Camp, iTunes, Amazon, etc. Download-only for now, a CD version may surface in the future. Daniel Crommie "Inside-Out" released at Band Camp

This companion to the "Portal" album has wilderness recordings of flute improvisations interspersed with studio electronic/ambient pieces has been released at Band Camp, with the official release at iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon and others set for Friday, September 22nd. Analogue and digital synthesizers mingle pleasantly with concert flute (frequently electronically modified), wood flutes, rhythm sequences and loops.
